Copyright and DMCA Policy

Rave Circuit respects intellectual property rights and expects users and contributors to do the same.

This policy describes how copyright owners may report material they believe infringes their rights.

1. Copyright Complaints

If you believe material available through RaveCircuit.com infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to enforce, you may submit a written notice.

A copyright notice should include:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are involved.
3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to allow Rave Circuit to locate it, including the relevant URL when available.
4. Your name and contact information, including mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

If Rave Circuit registers a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office, the contact information on this page should match the current registration.

3. Response to Notices

When appropriate, Rave Circuit may remove or disable access to material identified in a valid copyright notice.

We may notify the person who submitted or posted the affected material.

Rave Circuit may reject notices that are incomplete, materially defective, fraudulent, abusive, or unrelated to copyright.

4. Counter-Notification

If material you submitted was removed or disabled as a result of a copyright notice and you believe the removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification where permitted by law.

A counter-notification should include:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the material removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal.
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address, and telephone number.
5. A statement consenting to the jurisdiction required by applicable law and agreeing to accept service of process from the person who submitted the original copyright notice or that person's agent.

5. Restoration Following a Counter-Notification

Where the DMCA applies and a valid counter-notification is received, Rave Circuit may restore material in accordance with applicable statutory procedures unless the complaining party timely informs us that it has filed an action seeking a court order.

6. Repeat Infringers

Where appropriate and in circumstances in which the DMCA applies, Rave Circuit may terminate or restrict users or contributors who are repeat infringers.

7. Misrepresentations

Submitting a knowingly false copyright notice or counter-notification may have legal consequences.

Do not submit a copyright complaint unless you have a good-faith basis for doing so.

8. Trademark and Other Intellectual Property Complaints

This DMCA process is designed for copyright complaints.

For trademark, right of publicity, or other intellectual property concerns, contact Rave Circuit through the legal contact method published on RaveCircuit.com and clearly identify the right at issue, the material involved, and the basis for your request.

9. Event Artwork and Third-Party Materials

Rave Circuit may display or reference event names, artist names, venue names, promotional artwork, photographs, logos, or other third-party materials for editorial, informational, identification, calendar, reporting, commentary, promotional, or other lawful purposes.

Ownership of third-party materials remains with the applicable rights holders.

Rave Circuit does not claim ownership merely because material appears on the Services.

Rave Circuit claims no licence in event artwork and does not represent that a rights holder has authorised its display.

How event artwork reaches the Services

Event artwork reaches the Services in one of two ways.

A promoter or organiser may supply it directly, through the submission form or a promoter account. Supplying artwork is a representation that the person supplying it holds the necessary rights or has permission to do so.

Rave Circuit may also import artwork published alongside an event listing on a source it has registered and reviewed. Importing is enabled for a source only where an operator has recorded that decision against that source, and it is disabled by default.

Where artwork is imported, Rave Circuit stores the address it was taken from, the basis it was taken under, and the source it came from, and it serves a copy from its own servers rather than loading the image from the publisher's server. Serving a copy is a privacy measure: it means reading a page on the Services does not disclose your IP address, browser, or the page you were reading to a third-party host.

Removal

If you own rights in artwork appearing on the Services, or represent someone who does, send a notice using Section 2 and identify the image or the event page.

Rave Circuit records enough about each imported image to locate every event carrying artwork from a given image address or a given source in a single step, and expects to remove material identified in a valid notice promptly. You do not need to file a formal DMCA notice to ask for artwork to be removed, and Rave Circuit may act on an informal request from an apparent rights holder.

Rave Circuit may also stop importing from a source entirely, and it may remove artwork on its own initiative at any time and for any reason.

Where no artwork is displayed for an event, the Services show a plain placeholder instead. An empty frame is preferred over an image Rave Circuit should not be showing.
