Advertising and Sponsorship Policy
Last updated
Advertising and sponsorship help support Rave Circuit. This policy explains how we separate commercial relationships from independent editorial content and how we approach paid placements.
1. Commercial Relationships
Rave Circuit may accept compensation, products, services, event access, travel, hospitality, promotional consideration, affiliate commissions, or other value from advertisers, sponsors, event organizers, venues, artists, labels, agencies, ticketing platforms, and other partners.
A commercial relationship does not automatically mean Rave Circuit endorses a partner's products, services, statements, events, or conduct.
2. Identification of Paid Content
Where required or appropriate, paid or sponsored material will be clearly identified in a manner intended to be understandable to a reasonable reader or viewer.
Labels may include:
- Sponsored
- Advertisement
- Paid Partnership
- Presented By
- Sponsored By
- Partner Content
The wording and placement may vary by format.
A general policy page is not a substitute for a disclosure on or near sponsored content when a disclosure is needed to make the commercial relationship clear.
3. Editorial Independence
Advertisers and sponsors do not receive control over Rave Circuit's independent editorial coverage merely because they purchase advertising or sponsorship.
Rave Circuit may independently cover, criticize, decline to cover, or stop covering an advertiser or sponsor.
Commercial partners may review factual information relating specifically to their paid campaign, such as names, dates, links, approved brand assets, or required legal statements. This does not give them a general right to control independent editorial judgments.
4. Sponsored Articles and Native Advertising
Sponsored articles, videos, social posts, guides, newsletters, or other native advertising may resemble Rave Circuit's ordinary editorial formats.
When content is commercial in nature, Rave Circuit will use disclosure language intended to distinguish it from independent editorial content.
Sponsored content may be created by Rave Circuit, supplied by a partner, or developed collaboratively.
5. Sponsorship of Sections, Features, and Events Coverage
A sponsor may support a section, calendar feature, newsletter, guide, series, or other Rave Circuit product.
Sponsorship of a section does not necessarily mean every item within that section is sponsored.
Where necessary to avoid confusion, Rave Circuit will distinguish the sponsorship relationship from independent content within the sponsored area.
6. Event Calendar Promotions
Event organizers, promoters, venues, or ticketing partners may purchase enhanced visibility, featured placement, advertising, sponsored listings, or promotional packages.
Paid placement does not guarantee ticket sales, attendance, favorable editorial coverage, or a particular outcome.
Unless expressly stated in a written agreement, Rave Circuit is not a party to event ticket transactions and does not assume responsibility for event operation, refunds, cancellations, rebooking, admission, safety, or organizer performance.
7. Acceptance and Rejection of Advertising
Rave Circuit may accept or reject advertising or sponsorship at its discretion.
We may refuse or remove advertising that we believe:
- Is unlawful
- Is materially deceptive
- Contains malicious software or deceptive links
- Infringes intellectual property or other rights
- Falsely implies Rave Circuit editorial endorsement
- Misrepresents an event, offer, product, or service
- Creates an unreasonable safety concern
- Conflicts with our policies or business standards
Acceptance of advertising does not constitute verification of every claim made by an advertiser.
Advertisers remain responsible for the legality and substantiation of their advertising claims.
8. Regulated and Age-Restricted Products
Rave Circuit may impose additional restrictions on advertising involving age-restricted, regulated, intoxicating, gambling, financial, medical, or other sensitive products or services.
Rave Circuit may decline categories of advertising even when the advertising could otherwise be lawful.
9. Alcohol and Cannabis
If Rave Circuit accepts advertising involving alcohol or cannabis, the advertiser is responsible for complying with applicable laws, licensing requirements, age restrictions, targeting requirements, platform rules, and advertising standards.
Rave Circuit may impose additional internal restrictions or decline such advertising.
Nothing in this policy represents a commitment to accept advertising in these categories.
10. Drugs and Harm Reduction
Rave Circuit does not accept advertising that unlawfully promotes the sale or distribution of illegal drugs.
Independent harm-reduction education is governed by our Harm Reduction Policy.
11. Influencer, Creator, and Social Media Campaigns
When Rave Circuit or a Rave Circuit contributor makes an endorsement or promotional statement in connection with a material relationship, appropriate disclosure should be made in the relevant content.
Disclosure should be clear enough for the audience to understand the relationship.
12. Affiliate Relationships
Some links may generate commissions or other compensation.
Affiliate relationships are addressed in our Affiliate Disclosure.
13. Data and Advertising Technology
Advertising may use measurement, analytics, cookies, pixels, or similar technology subject to our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and applicable privacy requirements.
14. No Guarantee of Results
Unless expressly agreed in writing, Rave Circuit does not guarantee:
- Impressions
- Clicks
- Conversions
- Ticket sales
- Attendance
- Revenue
- Press coverage
- Search ranking
- Social engagement
- Specific audience behavior
Any campaign metrics we provide are subject to ordinary technical limitations, filtering, attribution differences, and measurement error.
15. Changes to This Policy
Rave Circuit may update this policy as our advertising products, technology, standards, or legal obligations change.
